What is a Catholic IMMERSION SCHOOL? A Catholic Immersion school immerses children in their Faith and customs at school and at home in order to mold their entire personality for the practice of virtue. In the consistent teachings of the Popes, the Catholic Church provides detailed instruction on how this education is to be carried out. It blends religion and life so that thought and action, all human life, both public and private, is in perfect agreement with the Truths of the Faith and moral law is permeated wit the light of the Gospel. (Adapted from Pope Pius XII Allocution to the Sisters of the Assumption, May, 1946) Inspired by these instructions, St. Michael’s offers an education that leads the child’s mind to Truth and Faith, and directs his will to good. Children are taught to love good and detest evil, and that one of God’s most precious gifts to them is their baptismal innocence which must be safeguarded at all costs. This prepares them for the renunciations and sacrifices that form their character and make them wise and strong, courteous and frank, honored and active. Everything at St. Michael’s is geared to gently inspire the child’s innocent soul to desire and live the high Catholic dream of sanctity and heroism. Not content with simply presenting our Faith as a set of rules to be followed, our staff strives to transmit the beauty of the Catholic Truth with unction and fervor. We firmly believe it is by transmitting our Faith to the next generation in a lively and attractive way that we can effectively participate in the Church’s great mission of the restoration of all things in Christ.
